This is a great activity portraying the changes America went through starting with the end of the American Revolution to the conclusion of America’s own internal revolution: the Civil War.
First, mark each area of the original United States and the surrounding territories. Then label how America acquired each territory and in what year it did so. Afterward, select the country to which each territory originally belonged. Next, label each state that was involved in the American Civil War as either a Union, Confederate, or Border state, or if it was a territory. Finally, place the important cities in their respective states.
